How do I determine my shoe size?

Note: You can always find the appropriate size chart with length and width specifications on the respective product page.

  • You don't need any extra padding for sandals, little to none for ballerinas, and a little more for sneakers and winter shoes.
  • When choosing a size, always refer to the size charts on the product page and select the next larger size if you are between sizes.
  • Check if there is a note under "Special Features" that recommends a smaller or larger size, and use that as a guide.
  • Shoe sizes can vary from brand to brand. If you know your size with us, please note that there are also model-specific differences.

FAQ

Groundies are true to size. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one, as barefoot shoes are designed to fit slightly looser. A 12 mm gap in front of the toes is ideal for achieving a true barefoot feel. As long as your foot doesn't slip out of the shoe and you have good support in the midfoot area, the shoe should fit well.

To measure your foot size correctly, take a sheet of A4 paper, place it on the floor, and stand on it. Trace the outline of your foot with a pencil. You can now easily measure the length from your big toe to your heel.

Although Groundies look narrow, they are intentionally cut very wide in the forefoot area, especially in the toe box. They have an anatomically shaped toe box.

The only difference between our women's and men's shoes is the size. Women's shoes range from size 36 to 43, and men's models from size 40 to 47. From size 40 to 43, we use a unisex design. Therefore, within the same size, there is no difference in length or width between women's and men's models.

The Barefoot Light line is designed for those who prefer a narrower look in the toe box but still want the comfort of the ultra-lightweight and flexible TrueSense sole. Up to the toes, the feel of the regular fit and the barefoot fit is identical. Only on the little toe side is the regular toe box narrower. Customers with very narrow feet have also told us they prefer a narrower fit for a more secure fit. In these cases, the Regular Fit offers plenty of room for the toes. Normal and slightly wider feet, on the other hand, will find the full barefoot feel in the wider toe box with our Barefoot Fit.
